We offer a wide range of sheds including garden sheds, storage sheds, tool sheds, and custom sheds such as satellite lounges or remote workspaces. They're all site-built by attentive craftsmen with premium materials.
Most sheds are 8'x12' (96 square feet), and sheds don't typically exceed 200 square feet. Shed and Water builds sheds up to 400 square feet. In the city of Tyler, TX, sheds over 200 square feet require a permit.
Our sheds are predominantly built on treated 4x6 skids resting on either compacted, crushed concrete pads or concrete pillars anchored below grade. Finished exterior surfaces include hardboard paneling such as DuraTemp, cedar or other natural wood planks, brick or stone, or stucco. Roof materials include shingles, steel, and synthetic stone or clay tile. Windows are typically vinyl, and doors maybe be natural wood, steel or fiberglass.
Yes, all of Shed And Water's buildings are erected on-site. Some components, such as wall or roof frames, may be assembled in-house and delivered for assembly by our builders in order to expedite the building process and keep time on-site to a minimum.
Our premium Site-Built sheds start around $30 per square foot. Depending on what kind of structure you desire and what materials or amenities are incorporated, that figure can exceed $100 per square foot. We do have installment options if you'd like to pay the balance over time!
Rainwater Collection Systems start at $500 and can exceed $5000.
What's the difference between a shed that's built in a warehouse and one that's site-built? By some measures, not a lot. By other measures, the difference is insurmountable.
Building a shed in a controlled environment has benefits, like no rainfall on the materials, less fatigue for workers, and ease of establishing a pattern using jigs and templates that stay in one place.
Building on-site allows the builder to accommodate the landscape perfectly, make modifications on-demand, and maintain communication with the customer at his or her convenience.
Additionally, the building doesn't get subjected to the harshness of road transportation; no potholes jarring framing joints, no 60mph winds working against the walls and roof, and no worry of your shed ending up at the wrong address!
